Reasonable adjustments
Reasonable adjustments are a legal requirement under the Equality Act (2010) to make sure health services are accessible to all disabled people.
They are small adjustments that can make a big difference for people with learning disabilities when they attend for health care appointments. A reasonable adjustment can be making appointments a little longer, offering appointments at the start or end of a clinic, providing a quiet area for someone to sit and wait or seeing someone at home if required.
