Children and young people career stories and case studies

Nursing children and young people encompasses caring for sick newborns to a young person following a road traffic accident, as well as providing care and support in the child’s own home, at school, in children’s hospices and in residential care settings.

There are numerous specialist areas within the field of children and young people’s nursing, including neonatal nursing, children and young people’s mental health nursing, health visiting and school nursing.
