Tribute to Jean Blevin

All of the North West team at the Royal College of Nursing are saddened to hear that our UNISON colleague Jean Blevin, staff side chair at the Walton Centre for Neurology, has passed away after a short illness.
Jean was a shining example of what being a Staff Side Chair should look like. Whilst she was herself a UNISON representative she always worked collaboratively with colleagues from all Trade unions and was always inclusive and welcoming to the Royal College of Nursing. She was passionate about defending the rights and welfare of NHS staff, particularly at The Walton Centre for Neurology, and also the NHS in general. Jean was a hugely respected figure within the health community in Merseyside and Cheshire, amongst staff side and management colleagues alike. Her knowledge, experience, passion, and ‘Scouse’ humour will be greatly missed.
