This is an opportunity to strengthen networks within your workplace or patch area, putting out feelers around workplace issues to look out for and learning how other workplaces may approach and even solve them.
Book your place and add this event to your calendar.
Make sure you're there to meet with and support your workplace colleagues in a setting in which you can concentrate fully on yourselves and your own wellbeing, rather than concentrating on others as nursing staff so often do. You may find the headspace for concentrating solely on yourself and your profession and workplace a pleasant break from the norm.
If you've never been before, don't let that put you off. Branches need active members more than ever.
If you and your co-workers don't stand up for your rights now you may well find yourselves losing them in the future, and that's a future that needs fighting against.
Make sure you have the time booked off work, and you mark this meeting firmly in your diary.
