New Library and Information Specialist in RCN NI Library and Information Zone

 I took up post on November 7, 2022, and so far have been enjoying a warm welcome from everyone here. Thanks to all for being so accomodating and supportive while I get up to speed with all things RCN, as well as all things library. I will be working Monday to Friday: 9am – 5pm and am available to answer any library or information queries you may have.  I can be contacted via email, or in person, but, be warned, I am currently undertaking a bit of a clear out, so may be knee deep in bags of books if you call in!  There is still plenty of space to study though and lots of books to borrow.

Some background:

I worked in Queen’s University Belfast Libraries for 18 years.  I worked mainly in the Biomedical Library in the Borrower Services team.  During this period, I also worked in the Medical Library, both in a Borrower Services and Subject Support capacity and covered Healthcare Library of Northern Ireland services also. 

On a personal level, I have two teenage daughters – so please be kind (all you parents of teens know why).  I like to read (not surprising I hear you say!), run when I can (which isn’t often), upcycling (much to my family’s despair!) and, am very partial to a packet of crisps.

Mon – Fri: 9am – 5pm

*Lunch: 1pm – 2pm (Library unstaffed, but open)
