This guideline covers assessing and managing chronic pain in people aged 16 years and over. It should be used alongside NICE guidance for specific conditions that cause pain, including headaches, low back pain and sciatica, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, spondyloarthritis, endometriosis and irritable bowel syndrome.
