National Council for Child Health and Wellbeing (NCCHW)

The National Council for Child Health and Well-being (NCCHW) brings together more than 50 professional groups focused on improving the health and welfare of children and young people across the U.K.

Without funding the NCCHW relies on the goodwill of its members and is a non-political council. The NCCHW believes every child and young person should be treated with dignity and respect whatever their physical, intellectual ability or particular circumstances.

Meeting four times a year, the NCCHW identify current issues causing concern in the media or within Parliament. With their unique expertise and experience they share information and initiatives being taken forward within each group, College or Association and work towards lobbying for positive improvements for children and young people’s health and welfare.

Honorary Chair: Dame Marion Roe, DBE
Honorary Secretary: Fiona Smith
