Forums and networks
Forums are groups of RCN members who work or have an interest in a particular area of professional nursing practice. There are over 30 forums covering a wide range of practice areas, so whether you’re a student, nursing support worker, nurse or midwife, we have a forum for you to join.
You can join more than one forum, but you will have to choose one forum to be your voting forum. This can influence the voting rights a forum has at RCN Congress.
All forums provide you with the opportunity to influence and keep up-to-date with developments in your field of practice, contribute in consultations, network with your peers and explore opportunities that will support career development.
Networks are groups where RCN members with similar nursing specialties and interests can come together to share their expertise and provide support with colleagues facing similar challenges in the workplace.
Networks bring members together in different ways – sometimes in a region or country, sometimes through a forum, sometimes by staff bringing members together, or members finding each other.
Unlike forums, networks do not have the governance structure in place or voting rights at RCN Congress.
