An RCN Scotland briefing on care of older people in hospitals in Scotland

This RCN Scotland briefing, based on our analysis of 35 inspection reports, found that the pressures on Scotland’s health and social care system are compromising fundamental standards of care for older people in hospital.  Despite national improvement work, local health boards are struggling to make improvements and are not learning enough from each other or between hospitals within the same health board area.
