PARLIMENTARY: Inquiry into NHS Clinical Governance August 2017
09 August 2017
RCN Scotland evidence submitted to the Scottish Parliament Health and Sport Committee’s inquiry into clinical governance
The Health and Sport Committee of the Scottish Parliament is undertaking an inquiry into clinical governance. This evidence sets out RCN Scotland’s main concerns for clinical governance in Scotland. Our evidence is clear that far greater emphasis must be placed on the role of care and clinical governance structures within any safe staffing legislation. We also recommend that all NHS Scotland clinical governance must be considered in the context of integration and, that from the outset, clinicians need to be involved to support the development and implementation of clinical governance arrangements in Scotland’s emerging health and social care landscape.
