RCN Scotland briefing on the preventative agenda

Nurses already make a significant impact on preventing disease and avoiding unnecessary hospital admission or treatment. Their role will only increase as the Scottish Government implements its public health agenda.
The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) believes that it is important that the role health professionals have in disease prevention and public health is valued in order to ensure that appropriate resources are allocated to them, particularly when staff and resources are under pressure.
