RCN Wales Nurse of the Year 2024

We are delighted to announce that the RCN Wales Nurse of the Year 2024 awards, will be held at The Mercure Holland House Hotel on Thursday, 21 November 2024. 

Following essential works required at City Hall we are excited to be working alongside a new venue as we continue to highlight and celebrate the dedication and professional care of the role of nursing across our local communities and Wales.

The awards honour and highly esteem the incredible work of nursing professionals, through innovation, excellence in practice, acknowledging the outstanding efforts, commitment, and achievements.

We will be open for nominations in Spring 2024 – keep an eye out on these pages for the latest updates!

Innovation and Digitalisation in Nursing Award

This award is intended to recognise nurses and midwives who have improved the care of people through transformation to deliver and / or influence change. Nominators should provide a clear narrative explaining why and how the transformation was developed or implemented and how the change has improved the experience and outcome of care.

This award aims to recognise an exceptional Registered Learning Disability Nurse or Registered Mental Health Nurse who is being recognised for their innovative and creative approach to the care of people within these specialities.


Nursing Student Award

This award aims to recognise Nursing/Midwifery students who have shown exceptional promise during their professional education and/or practice placements.



Supporting Education and Learning in Practice Award
