RCN Scotland Nurse of the Year Awards 2024
The Royal College of Nursing in Scotland is delighted to be holding its second annual RCN Scotland Nurse of the Year Awards in May 2024.
The awards are designed to recognise, highlight, and celebrate the dedication and outstanding professional care of nursing staff across Scotland.
From rural communities to the big cities, from the NHS, care homes and others in the independent sector, we are looking for nominations that demonstrate the best of nursing – through innovation, excellence in practice, leadership, and commitment.
We’re looking to celebrate and honour the incredible work of Scotland’s nursing staff, day in, day out. We want you to share experiences of inspiring nursing practice and showcase innovative nurse-led projects that are making a difference for patients, residents, and service users.
Nominations have now closed for all 13 categories. Entries were accepted from nurses or midwives nominating themselves or their own teams or can be submitted on behalf of another nurse/midwife or nursing/midwifery team. Non-nursing colleagues such as managers or consultants could also nominate their nursing/midwifery colleagues. Entrants did not need to be a member of the RCN.
The nominations process has now closed and are being considered by our judging panels.
Following the nomination process, nominees selected to move to the judging round will be invited to attend a virtual interview with a panel of judges during the first three weeks of March 2024.
If you have any questions or queries regarding the awards, please get in touch by emailing scotlandnurseawards@rcn.org.uk
