A new NHS pay offer from Scottish Government
RCN Scotland Board members are considering a new NHS pay offer from Scottish government. The pay offer was made today (17 February) following negotiations between the RCN and other health trade unions and the Scottish government and NHS employers.

UCAS figures showing applicants to nursing courses in Scotland down by 24%
UCAS figures released today provide a snapshot of the number of applicants so far for courses which begin in autumn this year. These show that the number of applicants for nursing courses in Scotland is down 24% compared to the same point last year - the biggest drop in applicants for nursing across the UK.

Strike planning to continue after members reject revised NHS pay offer
RCN Scotland planning for strike action in the NHS continues after members in Scotland rejected a revised NHS pay offer. Early in the new year we will announce dates for strike action. An overwhelming 82% of members who voted rejected the offer in the consultative ballot which closed at midday on Monday.
