About
The Eastern region is one of the Royal College of Nursing’s nine regional offices in England. We serve more than 38,000 RCN members who work in Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.
Our Branches
Wherever you work in the Eastern region you will belong to one of our six branches. The elected representatives who form the branch executive organise branch meetings and learning events, which members of the branch are invited to attend. Many of these are online to make attendance as easy as possible.
Our Board
Each branch and area of nursing practice are also represented by the RCN Eastern Board of elected members. The board advises and supports the regional director, Teresa Budrey, on matters of interest to the RCN in the region.
Our Council Members
The RCN Council is the governing body responsible for setting the RCN's priorities, objectives and policies. RCN Eastern has a seat on RCN Council.
RCN reps
Being a rep can be one of the most fulfilling activities you can undertake. Fully supported by the RCN at every turn, we will equip you with the skills and knowledge to represent your colleagues and your region.
