Chill

Go home happy, knowing you have put the person you are caring for at the centre of everything you do for them – then chill.

Swim

The best way I find to unwind after a busy day is to go swimming and visit the sauna. This makes me feel totally stress-free and good about myself.

Looking after yourself

Socialise

I like to relax by walking my two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and having meals with friends.

Looking after yourself

Balance

Make sure you have a good balance between work and your personal life (for example, I recently reduced the number of hours I was working).

Looking after yourself

Confide

I go for walks after work with my dog Meg: she's a great listener and doesn't repeat a word.

Looking after yourself

Leave it at work

Make the most of your leave and don't stress about work issues outside of the workplace.

Looking after yourself

Take time

Have regular "me time" and do whatever you fancy that day.

Care for yourself

Don't forget self-care: when you care for yourself you can care for others.

Relax

Listen to music on the way home – it helps you to relax and unwind.
