Ross and Wilson anatomy and physiology in health and illness

Colin Parish, Editor, Mental Health Practice and Learning Disability Practice

Reason you chose this book

I loved the anatomy lessons we had on my general nursing course in the late 1970s and this book was my guide.

Review

I was always fascinated by how the body works and ‘Ross ‘n Wilson’ explained things beautifully. It was simple to understand, with straightforward illustrations and explanations that helped me to grasp how pathology interferes with normal function. The illustrations in the latest edition still look familiar nearly 40 years later. I’d recommend it to any first-year nursing student who is getting to grips with their course: understanding anatomy and physiology is fundamental knowledge that makes nursing care and medical treatment seem logical.
